Poverty cycle
History is the type of thing that will repeat over and over again until someone decides that they want to make something better or worse. The poverty cycle is when your family is poor and that leads to you most likely being poor. To stay out of the poverty cycle, you need to graduate high school, get married before having kids, go to college, stay married (if possible), have no addictions, and have kids only after you turn twenty. Some people just don't decide to make a change in their lives but it will always be an option. You can change your historical cycle. If there is somebody that you look up to, you should follow them only if they are setting a good example for you.
Unit Question
How will I make a difference?
I will make a difference as an individual by trying hard to achieve my goals and dreams. I can work to graduate high school and college. I will make a difference in our society as a whole by helping people to keep their eye on what they want for themselves in the future. I could do that by helping them make good decisions that will have a positive effect on their future. Knowing all of this, I can make my community, family, and society better by encouraging those around me to think about what type of things that they want in their future. You can only make a difference if you are willing to put the work and effort into it. Things like the getting out of the poverty cycle will most definitely not be an easy thing to do but those who can push through that will become successful.
